Where does the Wild Azalea Trail Challenge 10K route go?
The Wild Azalea Trail Challenge 10K route starts at Wild Azalea Trail, Woodworth trailhead end (50-mile and bike start/finish at the main start area); registration/packet base at 2006 MacArthur Drive, Alexandria, LA 71301 and finishes at Valentine Lake / Valentine Lake Campground area, Kisatchie National Forest. Underfoot, expect singletrack forest trail (well-maintained and mapped, with half-mile markers). It passes Valentine Lake, Wild Azalea Trail, Woodworth trailhead, Kisatchie National Forest and Evangeline Ranger District. Deliberately old-school, no-frills trail event run each January.
