Race comparison questions

Can I compare any two running races?

Yes. The comparison builder can create a head-to-head URL for two selected races. The sitemap exposes a finite curated set of high-signal comparison pages, while custom builder states remain navigable from the tool.

Why are some comparison metrics missing?

Comparison rows show only source-backed signals that exist for the selected races. Route maps, elevation profiles, fees, true-cost estimates, race-day conditions and score fields stay unavailable until their evidence or methodology gate is present.

How should I compare flat, hilly, beginner-friendly or value races?

Use the comparison intent control and shortcuts to order the builder by the relevant metric, then compare the top two matches or choose a specific pair. The same metrics also link back to guarded ranking pages where enough races qualify.

Are curated comparison pages different from the interactive builder?

Curated comparison pages are indexable head-to-heads selected from the shared comparison collection and exposed in the sitemap. The interactive builder is for narrowing the race set by distance, route evidence, terrain, cost, date and route-profile metrics.
