The Acrisure Branford Road Race 5 Mile route starts at Hammer Field, 2 Buena Vista Road, Branford, CT 06405 and finishes at Hammer Field, Branford. Underfoot, expect road. It passes Branford Green, Seaview Avenue, Indian Neck, Pine Orchard and Branford beaches. Originally the 7.5-mile Shoreline Road Race (1979), relocated to the historic Branford Green in 1980 and later shortened to its current 5-mile distance.
Roads are closed to traffic (emergency vehicles only) along the course, including Meadow Street, Church Street, Montowese Street, Pine Orchard Road, Indian Neck Road, Linden Avenue, Sybil Avenue, Limewood Avenue, Fourth Avenue, Seaview Avenue, Elizabeth Street and Damascus Road, each closing about 15 minutes before runners arrive. 4.
