The Sugarloaf Uphill Climb 5K route starts at Mass start at the bottom of the SuperQuad lift at Sugarloaf Resort, 5092 Access Road, Carrabassett Valley, ME 04947 and finishes at the 4,237-foot summit of Sugarloaf Mountain; there is no transportation down the mountain after the race, so racers walk back down to the Competition (Comp) Center for the post-race lunch. Underfoot, expect ski-area trail and gravel work road (the Binder trail and work road). It passes SuperQuad lift, Binder trail, work road and Sugarloaf summit (4,237 ft). Two water stops along the course offering water only.
A bag transport vehicle takes all racers' belongings from the start line to the summit finish line, departing the start line at 9:45am; racers must mark their bags as the resort is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Mandatory bib pickup takes place from 7:30am to 9:30am on The Beach. Held rain or shine.
