The First State Half Marathon & 10K route starts at Orchard Road, Newark, DE (8:00 AM start) and finishes at Deer Park Tavern, 108 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 (post-race celebration). Underfoot, expect mix of town roads, neighborhood streets and paved trails. It passes James Hall Trail, Devon Drive, Bradford Lane, Apple Road and Sunset Road. Pre-event packet pickup Friday 5-7 PM at Captain Blue Hen Comics, with day-of pickup at Deer Park Tavern.
Gear check available at Deer Park Tavern; items must fit in a provided grocery bag and be collected by noon. 3.
