The Hospital Hill Run Half Marathon route starts at Grand Boulevard at Crown Center, 2450 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108. Wheelchair start 6:55 AM; half marathon, 10K and 5K all start at 7:00 AM and finishes at Crown Center (Grand Boulevard at Crown Center), where the Finish Line Festival is held. Underfoot, expect paved city streets; USATF-certified courses for all three distances. It passes Brookside neighborhood, Crown Center, Kauffman Memorial Gardens, 63rd Street and Rockhill Road climb. Finish Line Festival at Crown Center with a post-race party: free downloadable high-resolution race photos, a Burnt End BBQ breakfast burrito for all participants, complimentary beer/adult beverages (21+) from Central States Beverage, and live music.
Gear Check is located near Panera in Crown Center Square; runners may drop and retrieve gear there. Only the official clear Gear Check bags (handed out race morning at the Gear Check table) are accepted, labeled with the runner's bib number. No exceptions. Road closures are in effect from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM on race day; Grand Boulevard is closed to southbound traffic at Pershing Road. Free parking in Crown Center garages (P2, P3, P4) and surface lots from 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM; recommended arrival by 6:00 AM. Live music at the Finish Line Festival; in 2026 the 1980s tribute band Retroactive performed. Complimentary pace teams provided by the Runner's Edge SmartPace Team.
