The Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon route starts at Outside Cheney Stadium, Tacoma, WA and finishes at Inside Cheney Stadium, finishing on the warning track with finishers shown on the stadium jumbotron. Underfoot, expect paved road and multi-use trail (Scott Pierson Trail). It passes Cheney Stadium, Scott Pierson Trail, Highway 16 pedestrian bridge, Skyline neighborhood and Tacoma Narrows Bridge. The half marathon runs along the Scott Pierson Trail, crosses the pedestrian bridge over Highway 16, passes through the quiet Skyline neighborhood, then crosses the majestic Tacoma Narrows Bridge over Puget Sound before returning to finish inside Cheney Stadium.
Gear check is available until 15 minutes before the start of the race. Use of personal music devices/headphones is discouraged for the safety and benefit of all participants. 5.
