The Lincoln Marathon route starts at 14th & Vine, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; start time 7:00 a.m. with staggered corral starts through 7:35 a.m and finishes at University of Nebraska Champions Club, 707 Stadium Drive; runners finish on Stadium Drive west of Memorial Stadium on UNL's main campus. Underfoot, expect road/pavement. It passes Nebraska State Capitol, Sheridan Boulevard, Union College, Highway 2 bike path and Lincoln County-City Building. Marathon and half-marathon runners share a common start and run a loop past the Nebraska State Capitol, along Sheridan Boulevard, past Union College, along the Highway 2 bike path and past the Lincoln County-City Building back to the half-marathon finish on the UNL campus.
All roads along the route are blocked for race activities; City of Lincoln parking garages offer the first hour free and parking meters are free on Sundays. Marathon pace groups from 3:30 through 6:00 and half-marathon pace groups from 1:30 through 4:00; a Final Finisher Pacer is provided for those approaching the cutoff times.
