The Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon route starts at North Bank Park, 311 W Long St, Columbus, OH 43215 (corrals open 6:00 am; 7:30 am start, wheelchair division 7:25 am) and finishes at Outside Nationwide Arena in the Arena District, downtown Columbus. Underfoot, expect paved city streets (closed roads). It passes Ohio Statehouse, German Village, Bexley, Governor's Mansion and Capital University. each mile of the marathon is dedicated to a 'Patient Champion' from the hospital cheering runners along the route.
Bands and DJs perform at points along the course. The Striding Sliders pace team offers multiple finish-time targets for the marathon and half marathon; pacers line up by 7:00 am on the right side of the street holding signs.
