Time run at an eligible NYRR race
Meet the standard at the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half, Maybelline Women's Half, RBC Brooklyn Half, Staten Island Half or TCS New York City Marathon. NYRR says this earns non-complimentary guaranteed entry, claimed later. An NYRR half-marathon time can count.
Time run outside NYRR
Only a certified full marathon run from 1 January through 31 December 2026 can support this application. Places are limited. If demand exceeds supply, NYRR selects the fastest applicants in each age and gender category; the remainder enter the general drawing.
Both routes use net chip time. For a non-NYRR result, submit the race name, chip time and an official results-page URL. Meeting a listed standard at a non-NYRR marathon is not acceptance. A faster time may be required after applications are ranked for the limited pool. NYRR has not published the 2027 non-NYRR application dates or a future category cut-off.
