The ASICS Falmouth Road Race 11K is described as rolling. The course notes also call it the last four miles open up flat along Surf Drive next to Vineyard Sound, past beach cottages, along Falmouth Harbor, before a final quarter-mile hill that crests just before the finish at Falmouth Heights.
The ASICS Falmouth Road Race 11K route starts at Woods Hole, by the Captain Kidd restaurant (runners transported via free buses from Lawrence School on Lakeview Avenue) and finishes at Ball field at Falmouth Heights, by Falmouth Heights beach. Underfoot, expect paved roads. It passes Woods Hole, Captain Kidd restaurant, Nobska Lighthouse, Vineyard Sound and Martha's Vineyard views. One of the premier road races of the summer season.
Roads along the race route are closed at 7:00 AM. Wheelchair division starts 7:40 AM, elite women 7:50 AM, elite men/seeded 8:00 AM, general field first pulse 8:04 AM. Pace signs are posted on Water Street so runners can line up at their expected pace; the course is hilly so runners are advised to line up at expected pace or slower. Race weekend also features the SBLI Family Fun Run (24th annual in 2026, August 15) and the Falmouth Track Festival (August 14).
