The Red Dirt Ultra 35K route starts at Day Use parking area on Park Road 395, Kisatchie National Forest (GPS 31.478666, -93.103274); no set street address for the start/finish. Underfoot, expect loose and hardpacked sand singletrack with stream crossings. It passes Sandstone Trail, Caroline Dormon Trail, Kisatchie Bayou, Coyote Camp and longleaf pine forest. Rugged trail with loose and hardpacked sand, stream crossings, climbing and descending, and long runnable sections through the longleaf pines.
