36-hour overall cutoff; runners must average roughly 21.6-minute miles including aid-station time and must be checked OUT of each checkpoint by its cutoff.
Qualification status
Lottery ultra requiring a qualifying race: a trail ultra of at least 50 miles with 6,500 ft of vertical gain (50 Miler under 16 hours) completed within 2 years; cannot be the runner's first ultra, and road races / fat Ass courses are excluded. From 2027 the standard rises to a 100K with 10,000 ft gain (under 20 hours) or a 100 Miler with 15,000 ft gain (or Copper Kings 100) under 34 hours. Finishing also qualifies runners for the Hardrock 100 and Western States 100 lotteries.
